Mr. Raja Ram Dalmia, the visionary founder, established the first imported marble manufacturing plant in India, sourcing advanced machinery from Italy. This marked the beginning of Ambaji operations. The company expanded to the Behrod Industrial Area, focusing primarily on exporting marble to international markets.
The second generation took the helm, with Mr. Saket Dalmia ushering in a new phase of professionalization and innovation. The company achieved listings on all four major stock exchanges, including BSE. Recognized for its rapid growth, it earned accolades such as the Fastest Exporting Company and the NCR Entrepreneur Award.
Always at the forefront of innovation, the company ventured into the sintered stone market, becoming the Master Distributor of Neolith in India. Neolith rapidly expanded, establishing a nationwide footprint with a dealer network of over 200 across multiple cities.
The company expanded its operations to establish the largest marble processing facility in North India till date, covering 27,000 sq.m. A flagship showroom was inaugurated in Chattarpur, Delhi, enhancing its retail presence.
With the introduction of the advanced licensing system, the company secured the largest marble import license in North India, further strengthening its leadership in the industry.
MCIL planned to diversify into bespoke bathware, marking its entry into a new luxury segment. However, the initiative was deferred due to the impacts of demonetization and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected market conditions. In the meantime, MCIL launches a showroom in Mumbai
